Default Anybody know how to install 1957 Ford door glass?

What is exactly the best way to remove and install the door glass on a 1957 Ford Ranchero? I removed the driver's side glass, but it sure was a hazzle..

In the 1957 Ford Shop Manual, page 11-11, it gives a step by step on how to replace your door glass. Follow the instructions and you can't go wrong. If you don't already have a 1957 Ford Shop Manual, you should get one. It would be money well spent. What I found most helpful is that section on how to properly adjust the door glass stops on the hard tops. If the stops are not set correctly, a broken window will result when closing the door. When I purchased our Skyliner, the driver's door glass was already cracked from the back window going up too far, all because of not having its window stops set correctly.

The trick to it is that you must remove the funny shaped wire retainer from the rollers in the guide channel at the bottom of the glass (while the assembly is still inside the door). After removing the window regulator assembly, you can lift the glass out of the door.
