I think this Model A will fishtail with all the weight in the back. I had to say it. Bill W. will probably say "theres something fishy about this photo". Frank

Great image! Interesting to see how high the rear window is mounted.
Three questions: #1: Doesn't that pinstripe seem go up over the fender, as normal, but then return and cross back over the body just under the top and in front of the rumble seat???
#2: Grouper? Carp? Koi?
#3: And, most important, who's gonna clean that fish?

28 and 29 sport coupes (business and special coupes also) have a beltrail 2 piece strip that finishes off the top to the metal lower sheetmetal - quarterpanels and the panel above the lid. From the factory the beltrail had a pinstripe on the beltrail. So, the sport coupe is correct as far as the beltrail pinstripe. The car looks fairly new. The picture was probably taken in the early to mid 30's I would guess.

Isn't that a Cabriolet?

The car in the picture is a 28 or 29 SPORT COUPE, not a cabriolet! I had a 29 sport coupe and I know what they look like.

I'm no fisherman but that looks like a BIG Sea Bass taken in the surf on Pismo Beach with the dunes in the background. I ran the dunes in the '50's first with a banger A and then later with a V8. The photo is from '58. Never made it up Devil's Slide.

Ok, last tangent: Is it possible that the artificial lure the guy used to take that monster is actually the torpedo-like object I'm seeing hanging under his left shoulder?????????
If it is then all I can say is ''Holy Mackerel'' ..... (Really sorry for that one)

You can tell it;s a sport coupe by the large back window. I don't know why but it is
