Looking for a source for a new or good used trunk lock cylinder for my 37 Coupe.

Re: 37 Coupe Trunk Lock Cylinder
After pulling the cylinder I found that it is identical to one being advertised as '32-34 deck and trunk lid. I had heard that the cylinders for '32 -'36 trunk latches were the same but there was no reference to '37. My Coupe was manufactured about December '36 which might explain it.
The key code is FX076. |

Re: 37 Coupe Trunk Lock Cylinder
All OEM '37 deck handles use the 32-36 deck or rumble lock cyl.I sent you a PM regarding that.

Re: 37 Coupe Trunk Lock Cylinder
Bob, Here are some images of the lock cylinder that you are looking for. It carries Curtis part # 40-101 and Ford part # B-46150.

Thanks for the Curtis and Ford #s. I have quite a few Ford reference books (just ask my wife!) and I could not find any number before '38. |

Re: 37 Coupe Trunk Lock Cylinder
Autonut has 2 listed on EBAY($75ea) but the finish is brushed chrome on the face.I think they are later service parts. He lists them as '32 maybe so they sell quicker. He is also a member here. For yrs I have worked on these handles from 32-37 and have spare inner parts if needed.

Re: 37 Coupe Trunk Lock Cylinder
I wound up buying a box full of nos and good used early Ford lock cylinders, some with keys, at an estate sale several years ago. I'm thinking several of these cylinders are identical to those posted in pictures by Don Rogers. I'll try to get out in the garage today and take a look.
