Re: 41 windshield install
Didn't follow the Van Pelt instructions whereby you try to first mount the rubber seal in the window opening. Instead I first put the two windows in the rubber seal and then pushed it into the opening.Getting the two windows into the rubber seal took a lot of sweating to get them in correctly. Pushed the windows/rubber seal combination in place after using dish liquid for lubricant and putting a piece of string in the rubber. Went in magically in a few minutes with the help of pulling the string and some use of the red plastic paddle. I think this way is easier as the rubber seal required a lot of stretching to fit the windows in it. I worried and put it off for several days for nothing.

Re: 41 windshield install
Installing the divider bar. Rubber came with bumps around the holes for the screws. Had to grind them off to fit. Also had to spread the rubber/trim apart with pieces of wood. Window and trim install was very easy.

Re: 41 windshield install
Did the window install from the side of the car and you pulled the rope from the outside?.

Re: 41 windshield install
Yes, both windows assembled into the rubber seal on the ground, the assembly pushed in from inside the car and rope pulled from outside the car.

Re: 41 windshield install
Once again, the complete instructions, with drawings for installing '40 to '48 Ford windshields are on the Van Pelt web site. Follow them and you can't go wrong.
