If your tires hit the brake rod, then add a lock washer to retaining pin. The retaining pin originally came with a lock washer.

Ahh, good idea. Mine must have been taken apart at some point. There were no lockwashers. Just rubbed the rod this morning pulling in to the parking lot at work.

I second what Mike says, that may be just enough, if not add a flat washer along with the lock washer, in addition make sure the toe-in is correct.

Anyway, I know the steering is harder with my stock arm and my 7-tooth box, but man, I enjoyed driving to work and back today! I'm sure I could drive this car just like it is for many more years before my strength gives out and I need more leverage.
