Hey Vic, it looks like I would need to convince the boss to allow me to take three days vacation to attend this tour and show. Travel day on Thursday to get there for tour on Friday. Then another travel day to get home on Monday.

Hey John, you are absolutely correct however, it has been my experience that it is much easier to take a "long weekend" than to take the entire work week off, to attend a non-work related event. Remember, you can't please everyone all the time but, those of us that are still working have to make choices and, when you look at most automotive related events, they do take place over a weekend, most likely to accommodate those that work but would like to attend, and to insure maximum attendance...

That's the primary reason we schedule the Florida "Barner's Bash" over a three day weekend and, as you can attest, the event has grown in attendance every year so, we must be doing something right...

Thanks for having the show over the weekend. This help car owners that has small family and still working to enjoy the show. I always enjoy the show. There was a lot different cars. Also a lot people from young to old that is in to early Fords. This show is growing. I wish I could be there this year. Last year I had a blast. Time has got really tight hope to make it back. If you are into Flatheads and Early Ford this is one that you need to put on your list to go to. You will not be sorry. Thanks again and keep up the good work.

Hi Willie, too bad you can't make it this year. The Moonshine Festival has always been held over a three day weekend. We, the Cigar City Flatheads, have been holding our Tours independently. We are not affiliated with the Moonshine Festival or the Care for Kids organization so we can't, and don't, take credit for staging the event, just our Friday Tours. The Moonshine Festival is a feast for Flathead Ford Fanatics and, with the Fall foliage in full color, the North Georgia Mountains provide beautiful scenery beyond the Fabulous Flatheads on display and cruisin' the countryside.

The Cigar City Flatheads Friday Tour (this year the White Knuckle Tour) is free to anyone that would like to attend, as are all of our events, like the Florida "Barner's Bash" and the recent "Vanquish Vapor Lock Tour". No club membership is required. There is no judging of vehicles at our events and, historically, we've only given one award each year, the "Miss Shelly Award" which was created by Bill Wzorek. Additionally, Bill crafted each "trophy", and they are truly one of a kind works of art. Attending a Cigar City Flatheads event won't net you a trophy for your vehicle but, we guarantee you'll meet a lot of likeminded people who want to have Fun with Flathead Fords.

Hi Jack, the Friday Tour put on by us (the Cigar City Flatheads) is not affiliated with the Moonshine Festival. The White Knuckle Tour will be held on Friday, October 24th. We are working on the details and will post them here on the forum as the event dates get closer. Looking forward to seeing you in Dawsonville. Vic

The people that run the Moonshine show does a great job. Next year we will come on Friday do the White Knuckle Tour sound like fun. My son loves to go on tour. We have done a lot of Model T tour over year. Fun for the whole family.

I use to play baseball when was younger man. They would give us all trophy. Over time the trophy ended up in the trash. The thing I got out of baseball was fun and enjoyment the game. As long I am having a good time and spending time w/ my family. I don't need your Trophy or your cookie jars. I wish more car shows would be like that.

Willie, we can guarantee you won't win a trophy (nobody will) on one of the Cigar City Flatheads Tours. However, we will guarantee that you'll have FUN!
