Wooden Spoke wheel differences? Help needed
In my barn, i have these 2 wheels both measure 24" and have a 8" drum but the wooden ring and spokes are different. Are these from separate year cars? 1 wheel has a rounded style ring and the other is more square looking. Also the diameter of the spokes on 1 wheel is different than the other wheel also. The round 8" drum is for brakes or hub mount? Appriciate if someone can educate me on these wheels. Thank you for your time.

will, I appreciate that info. I read that article, I don't see anything about 24" wheels. I did read on the 21" and the clincher 30" Maybe these wheel I have posted are not ford model T or im measuring them wrong?

Re: Wooden Spoke wheel differences? Help needed
The size of the clincher style wheels are with the tires installed, which is different from current practice. So if you have a 30x3 tire, you have 3" if tire at the top, 3" of tire at the bottom, 6" of tire in total 30-6=24, so a 30x3 tire fits on a 24" rim. The rear wheels on Ts with clinchers were 30x3.5, and the pix you posted are of rear wheels. So 7"-30"= 23" rim.
