Are the E bands on the right way? There is an inner and outer to E bands! If they are on wrong, then the bands will not sit flush on the carriage and with be on an angle. All 4 of the pins should be head facing out and cotter pins on the inside.

Happy to say we got the passenger side sanded some and the rods hooked up and both sides are working perfectly. Thanks for all the replies.

Everything is powder coated. I spent many a weekends grinding on all the parts to smooth out all the surface rust. I didn't intend to powder coat everything, but one thing led to another and well you can guess from there....
