1949-1951 Mercury overdrive transmission

Used 49-51 Mercury transmission from rebuilder that closed shop. Took off side plate and gears look good with a little wear on the first/reverse gears due to typical grinding. Don't know how to check the overdrive or the solenoid. Based on a non overdrive trans I bought to rebuild, he cleaned up the case and gears but did not rebuild the unit, so should get new synchros, gaskets and so forth. $200 for pickup in Cedar Rapids. It is heavy so shipping would depend where you are. In the Iowa area, Speedy Delivery is relatively cheap and Fastenal is an option for delivery in your area. FedEx home delivery will be expensive.
