Default 30 fourdoor

Hey guys...there is a model A on ebay that says it's a 1930. The body looks to be a 30...but the wheels, front fenders, and radiator shell looks to be 28 or 29. I'm not wanting to buy it, but I was curious if the car is correct, and if it is, does it have something to do with it being a briggs or a murray body. the item # is 120707303156. Thanks for any comments. I've never seen one like it, and just trying to learn something.

It's a '29. Look at the cowl & hood along with the fenders.

It's a 1929 155B Briggs Town Sedan. You can see where the cowl lights once were located. Without the cowl lights and rear seat armrest it would be a 165B Standard Fordor. The stripe on the gas tank also defines the "Deluxe" version. Gar Williams

Thanks for your responses...it just was the first time I've seen a car with the body lines of a 30, a 29 grillshell, 29 front fenders, and 29 wheels. Also it appears to have a 30 front bumper, and a 29 rear bumpers. And to be honest I just based my observations on my 30 coupe. They must be somewhat rare, or I just have not noticed them before. As I said I was just trying to learn as much as I could.
Thanks for your help.

Here's another one on E-Bay #160567554990. It's a 29 Town Sedan that has the belt lines of a 30.

IF the Vin is the correct number, the motor would have been produced in Nov 1929. Some states had a sell year as the year of the car. So, engine is produced in Nov 29, put in a car in Dec 29 and sold Jan 1930= a 1930 car according to DMV.

Thanks again...so you guys don't believe it has anything to do with it being a briggs or a murray body.

Nope, the Briggs and Murray cars had the smooth cowl and the 28 and 29 FORD built bodies had the step in the cowl.

might be a late 29 that was sold in calendar year 30 and titled as such.
our 31 Tudor was titled as a 32.

It looks like someone either had it set up for a heater, hot from the top, return to the lower, or had a thermostat installed and are using this as a bypass, until the thermostat opens, thus relieving pressure from the pump, and preventing cavitation.

The car looks like some kind of updated car, Ariel holes in cowl panel, that has been striped of its goodies......
