Default Would you Believe it !

Well after obtaining a 1934 exhaust heater and all the fittings and converting it to Right Hand drive application . Today I discovered why they were never offered in RHD . The space between the exhaust manifold and the frame on the left hand side is to small to allow the unit to mount up correctly The unit hits on both the exhaust manifold and frame at the same time . Looking closely at the engine there is appreciably more room between the exhaust manifold and the frame on the right than the left. Never would have picked it ! Drats i guess some bits will be back on Ebay and it will be the Arvin that goes in -Karl

Maybe you need a hot water heater and pipe it where it fits the best.

I have a Arvin I restored and will go with that-The original hot air heater just appealed -I think the quirkeyness of it intrigued me-Karl

There's no such thing as a true bolt-on.

From looking at it, could you fabricate a mirror one to go on the left?

Thats what I did but unfortunately there is less room on the left than the right so the only way I could get it to fit was with it hard up against the frame and the exhaust manifold . Any movement of the motor would have made it rub against the frame. I haven't given up yet I might be able to make it work by making the input pipes longer - But for the moment it's on the back burner -Spring almost here for us -Karl
