Number 1 looks to be a spark plug accessory, where you can adjust the amount of spark gap.

Number 7 is for removing glass fuses.

I've seen number 3 before but it escapes me as to what it is.

That's all I've got

#7 is a "fuse clamp" - for cartridge-type fuse-holders whose spring clips have lost their grip.

Place the fuse in the holder, the place the jaws of this clap over the ears of the spring-clip of the fuse-holder, and tighten the bakelite knob.

We have quite a number of those on the 1928 F.A. Major stage-lighting consoles and contactor boards here at work...

#8 looks like a wire cutter that orthodontists use. Could tell better if I could read the name on it.

Two choices on #1: either a spark plug gap tool used for fouled plugs, or a lightning stand-off for an antique radio antenna. In the old days you used to string a long wire across the roof top, then if lightning hit it, it would jump the gap and go to ground through the grounded mounting bolt.

#8 could that be a pliers used to break glass after it's scored?

#6 either a rivet setting tool as Glenn said, or used to set chain links when a removable master link isn't used, such as many Schwinn bikes used.

#5 looks like a tool to make circles.

This is my guess but I'd like to know for sure.

#1 is a spark plug intensifier. Screws on to the top of a plug and the wire connects to it. You can see the ignition flash at night.

#4 is a ground connection for an old house radio --back when they used batterys
#6 is a clamp for hanging pipes or conduit from I beams--threaded rod goes into the place the bolt is.
I will agree that #1 is a spark gap
#2 looks like part of a lighter

Ya Luke, No 1 made the spark jump, so a fouled plug would fire. Herm.

Well it seems you guys have identified most of the items & I must say... it's been an education!
There are some brilliant people on board here
(I had to think twice to spell brilliant)
Lets try and summerize what appears (to me) to be the most conclusive answers.
Anyone can feel free to chime in if I mess up.

1) This is undoubtedly a spark intensifier. The google patent drawing from 1914 is exact, right down to the offset hole in the tab suggesting it's actually an original!
I thought it was a lightning arrester from a farm fence...
2) Some kind of lighter...or part of one. When released, the cap springs open & spins the emory wheel automatically against the (missing) flint. I suspect it screwed into a base with fluid soaked wadding.
Interestingly, some old cycle lanterns had a similiar unit inside a reflector housing but I can't find a picture so this is still a bit of a mystery.
3) A Pratt & Whitney radial engine oil sump support wrench? I'm blown away...found it at a garage sale. Now here's something I better keep handy
4) The Ecco clamp seems to be an amateur radio ground which grips onto a pipe. Google actually turned up an old listing, confirming the name and says "no need to clean the pipe" which explains the 3 sharp points.
5) The pointed tool has a hardened, adjustable pin which slides.
...this is still a mystery. I don't believe it's old.
6) So it appears we have an "I-beam hanger clamp" and the larger bolt should be ready-rod leading to a hanging pipe or whatever.
Like the majority, I thought it was some type of rivet set or press and undoubtedly I'll use it for that some day.
7) The "clip clamp" website provided this...Provides tight contacts between fuse holder clips & fuse ferrules/blades.
8) The pliers?...I'm not sure we have any 2 matching guesses yet.
The groove etched into ONE jaw might be for gripping wire...jewelery manufacturing? dental/orthodontist?

I might go through the pile & find some more stuff next week. Have a great day!
