Used battery carrier assembly for firewall-mounted battery in 1928-29 Model A’s. Many Model A owners in the 1940’s and 1950’s moved the battery from under the floorboards to the firewall to make changing and charging the battery easier. Ford SHOULD have put the battery here in the first place!
Much more convenient. This is a VERY sturdy, well-made battery carrier designed for a 1928-29 firewall. The upper angled flange is drilled to match the gas tank/lower cowl flange bolt holes so that it can be bolted in place and provide extra support. Most battery carriers of this type are corroded from leaking acid or rust and are unsafe, as well as being made of light-weight metal. If you have a firewall-mounted battery and the carrier is suspect, you need to replace it before it gives way. I’m not sure these are even being made anymore. $20.00 plus ACTUAL shipping cost to your zip code.
