I took this picture of my black '40 Tudor Sedan during the eclipse here in SC. (That's it in the lower right hand corner)

A friend spent eight hours driving from Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood to Bend in Central Oregon on Monday after the eclipse. That is about 60-70 miles. Traffic was a bit slow.We had a few extra people in the area, estimates were up to 100,000 more, to watch the moon hide the sun for less than three minutes. I was painting my house when it started. The wife and I grabbed welding helmets and looked and sure enough there was a 90% eclipse where we were. I went back to painting. Don't think I missed very much by not driving 40 miles to see totality. Well I guess we did miss the worst traffic mess in the history of the area.
