I am getting ready to paint my engine the original green. From the factory was the oil pan painted green or black?

As Joe mentioned the oil pan is black. I remove the dipper tray and spray paint it and the oil pan inside and out with DP90 primer, then topcoat with DCC 9000. I'm doing this on the oil pans for my own engines.

Before you paint the oil pan, be sure the drain plug is in good condition and tight to the pan. Weld or braze as needed.
