Re: Early Ford adds from France
Like the artwork in the Ford of France sales catalogues of the period, that in the ads is also much more imaginative than in the North American or British Ford material.

Re: Early Ford adds from France
John,Enjoyed your link.I have a couple of those ads also. Here are some orig posters. The 33 engine poster brochure(the reverse has pics of all the models offered in France) I found in France when I lived there in early '90's. The 35 engine poster came from England. Its a blow up of the original I have.

Those old Matford adverts look great, especially the woodies! Also the first time I've seen adverts for the F472C - the same model as the French-built woodie I recently transported back from France (just before the big snow storm set in). Mind you there is something very fishy about my new Ford. Under French law bodybuilders were required to affix a metal plaque onto the bodywork with their company name. So I discovered that the body on the French woodie was built by Pontus & Poisson...which translates to Pontus & Fish, lol Looks like I hooked good 'un Colin |
