New Beginnings AV8
Just a couple photos of the tear down of my 30` roadster into an AV8.

Looks like yours will be a lot easier to do than mine was.

Re: New Beginnings AV8
Should be an easy job, starting with a restored car. Are you going for an open wheel look? Sure could use those fenders. Don't feel bad if you have to step the frame to avoid the stink-bug look with the front too low. At that point there is almost no return to the girlish world of restored roadsters. After reading the rants of the old boys about hacking up the sacred originals, I went out back with the sawsall and welder to start the decent into hotrod hell. Still not too late to go with a banger. Can I say that on the V8 forum? No matter what you hear, a flathead is not exactly a natural. Another blasphemy? Don't go crazy and all should easily fall into place. You may find the HAMB to be very useful for your kind of build, however be cautious with the advice that may be less than accurate in this and that forum, no matter how much uninformed praise is heaped on these guys. Of course you can take whatever I post to the bank! Good Luck with that! Fred A

Re: New Beginnings AV8
Anything I do will be able to be put back to original if they choose. There are enough originals out there to look at. I`am 70 and this will be my last ride overhaul. I`ve got my good friend Walt Dupont (Ford Barner) to advise me plus you guys have been a world of help also. Taking the body off this Saturday. I`ll keep you posted.

Thank you. I have been bouncing back and forth between the two sites.
