Good luck finding originals. In my 56 years (admittedly in my own private Idaho), I have NEVER seen even one! I have a couple of 39 deluxe which were all stainless, though. I have 4 pretty good 36 caps for $120.

Hersch sells new spider caps which are very nice but not cheap.

I had an original pair years ago but gave them away because they were dented- now i am regreting that. Scott

Then he should start looking for 37 Spyders and he will find all the original 36 ones he can handle at least this is what happened to me 6 years ago when I started looking for 37 ones. Also lots of people don't know the difference between ineys (36) and outeys(37).
