Default 1932 Ford Question On Throttle Pedals

I have identified a 11/16" difference in the vertical section of 32 Ford throttle pedals in my parts collection. In the photos I am showing assemblies with later style toe pedals. I have multiple assemblies with the long vertical and late pedals. I have one assembly with the short vertical and an early toe pedal. I also have multiple assemblies with the short vertical and the early toe pedal. I recently found this difference sorting parts, and had never heard of this variation. Is this referenced in the Ford drawing archives as a production change? What is the technical reason for the change, fit or function? The difference is quite noticeable when they are side by side.

The difference MAY be if from a 33 or 34 Pick UP. I think they used the same type of pedals. Just a thought.

'33-'34 V-8 pickups, panel deliveries, and BB trucks all share the longer stem version. The shorter stem version is the '32 assembly.

Learn something new every day - thanks gang! Now one has to wonder why?

If the same carbs were used on the same V8 engines, then all that would change is the rate of opening of the throttle plates? I think I want the "long one" on my hotrods! LOL

The angles between the spoon and the throttle arms are different as well. The later assy's are flater.
