window regulators.
1929 Murray body Fordor. both front window regulators need replacing , originals not suitable for rebuild, what's thoughts on VINTIQUE...seems like only thing available. I have had a lot of negative results with this brand name replacement parts.

Re: window regulators.
Try Arizona Model A , Ask for Sammy . He has a lot of original parts and is quite reasonable .

Re: window regulators.
I, like many, begin to wretch at the thought of using Vintique parts.. However when the Right Front ( same as Left Rear) regulator died in my 155-A Murray, I held my nose and installed one. It has been working fine for about three years now.

Re: window regulators.
I would rather use original regulator, but mine broke two days before my wife and I were leaving on a 9 day club tour. At the time, I was working at Snyders and could snag a repo off the shelf on my way to the parking lot. So far, so good. I had forgotten that I had replaced that regulator until I read your post.

Re: window regulators.

Re: window regulators.
Bill , so glad to hear from you. One of the problems I am confronted with is parts availablity, just can't go and acquire the simple things even the MMO was a challenge and that is quite simple, We are on a Friggen rock in cold north Atlantic ...Jez are fore fathers would rather scale rocks and ice than over Sun and sand. CANADIAN DISCOURAGED.

Re: window regulators.
Here's a band aid......
If the regulator gear has the "bad offs" Take the cup apart and turn the gear over. You'll get more service out of it. If the spring brake is bad, you're just sorta out of luck without rebuild NORS rebuild kits might be found and they are better than current |

Re: window regulators.
Vintique stuff is junk ! Bye regulators from Snyders, They are just fine. The Vintique ones don’t let the lower window rail pass, so you hear a lous click half was up and down.
Site matters ! Haha |

Re: window regulators.
I thought that Vintique was the only company that made the repeoduction window regulators . The times that I have used repro regulators , I've had to bend the arm on the regulator.
