Default Tough question.

Inside the armored wire housing on the "A" distributor there is a smaller spring type housing but now the question. Why is there a itty bitty wire running parallel to the electrical wire inside this housing.

It acts as a ground and most importantly stops someone from stretching the coiled outer spring, which might pull the copper wire out of the brass terminal on the end.

I was thinking the same thing about a stretch limiter but as a ground? Thanks.
