Default Hood handles/springs on 4 piece hoods.

I believe the spring on the under side of the hood handle has popped out of place on my PU. It does not appear to be broken anywhere. Looks like the hook on the end of the spring "Jumped over" the handle. Can it simply be "stretched" back into the proper position? Anyone ever done this? Suggestions? TIA

You can return the spring back on the handle using a vice grip plier and someone holding on to the hood. Check the clearance between the handle and the cotter pin to be sure the handle does not move outward from the hood latch. This will keep the handle close to the hood when opening or closing so the spring does not pop out.

Thanks Gary, that's what I was thinking I need to do but wanted a second opinion. Wasn't it you that helped me out with some Southwind advice/literature a while back. Got another question. PM me with your phone number. Lawson
