I see that very clearly,one side to middle circuit breaker,other side to negative post on solenoid. These 1947 gauges are they the same ones that will fit my 1948 f1 6v? The reason I ask is a gentlemen has an ammeter from a 47 ford 5 passenger,what do you think?

No, the gauge fits 48-50 trucks only, unless you can change the face. It is not a direct interchange.
