Default 31 Model A Windshield Frame

For some reason, I top horizontal piece of the windshield frame has five holes in it, on the left side.

The windshield washer goes thru the header, not the window frame.

Any idea what the holes in the frame are for?

Thanks,

the top is probably off a car that was not a slant window, and had an electric wiper on it. just weld them closed. before you put to much work in it make sure the frame fits the hole. the slant window upper hinge is a little deeper than others and the hole pattern is different too.
