Default Painting carbs

I have had poor results painting carbs in the past. A local hobby shop owner recommended appliance epoxy paint. I took it a step further and baked them in an oven for about 30 min after letting them air dry for about 30 min. I'm really impressed with the finish. Gasoline didn't remove the paint. Will reassemble one and test it out on the car.

Aero Gloss from the Hobby Shops is the best solution I have found. Nice shine and fuel proof. No baking needed.

I tried to find that locally but our only hobby shop in town doesn't carry it. This was just my experiment to find an alternative.

Sure nice to have an alternative. Head up the H.E. Bailey some time and come see us.

I have used appliance epoxy semi-gloss black. The epoxy has held up for years on carbs I have painted. I have not tried this particular brand but it is available in satin black epoxy.

I use por-15. It's like brush on powder coating. Gas will never harm it.
