Default Original headlights?

Hi again all,

Thanks for your continued help. My restoration on a '29 54-A continues, and it's running!

I took a look at the old headlights today and they don't seem right. They seem "deeper" than the pictures of other '29 headlights I've seen and there's no hole for an adjusting screw in the back. Also, there are only four rivets in the mounting plate at the bottom of the light housing and the pictures of originals I've seen all have six. The light uses an integrated bulb/reflector/lens, so that's not much of a clue and the plug that the bulb uses seems different from those sold by the parts manufacturers.

Any thoughts on whether these are original? Thanks!

Pat

They're original to something, but not a Model A.

But mine are old and rusty and crusty and if you look thru the lens you can see bulbs inside and they are mounted on an A head light bar, so they must be original!

To something else. Anyone know when they stopped installing bulbs inside the sealed beam lights?

My '32 Coupe came with similar looking lights. NOT ORIGINAL though.
