Ford Flathead engine swap part 4 and 5. Gettin' it ready then first run and drive!
Yep, the last two parts of the Ol'59 Flatty into the 41 pickup engine swap!
Try and watch part 4 before part 5. Part 4: getting the engine built up and ready to run: https://youtu.be/9MXDhjNyACg And part 5: The long awaited first drive video. What will the oil pressure be like when hot?? https://youtu.be/qygUGtO77EE To help me out, please click so you watch within youtube, click like, leave a comment and share with friends. It all helps get Early Ford message out to more folks. Cheers then. Mart. |

That was great, Mart. Really enjoyed being with you & Jack on the break-in run of the Ol'59 Flatty. And so nice that it is running well!

That was fun! I wouldn't worry with that oil pressure. Great job!

Re: Ford Flathead engine swap part 4 and 5. Gettin' it ready then first run and driv
Watched yesterday, great first run and many more to come. Your last video reminded me of an incident I had years ago, filled fuel bowl with gas after removing top of carburetor(no vent tube, early 91-99 carb) and neglected to tighten fuel line to carb so when it fired up gas was spurting out over my newly painted engine! You wisely after a long day and realizing you had neglected to add engine oil called it a day and now have a successful first run.
