Re: Gold Plated Leatherback
I have seen it a couple of times. It was for sale in a inside car sales in wake forest NC. The owner said he wanted 50,000 at that time. I did not care for it myself, just does not look right to me. But others might like it, each to there own.

The number of times I've heard comments like: "for that price it ought to be gold plated" - Well, here it is and it's still not enough for you guys....

For the man who has everything . . . but taste. Taste is among the things that can't be bought. The creator of this thing even lacked common sense.

Yeah that car has been for sale a bunch of times now. Obviously he wants too much since it hasn't sold.

Re: Gold Plated Leatherback
i guess i am not judgmental enough to be a model A guy, the colour looks ok to me & i do not even mind the fenders being white. At least the nickel will not tarnish. i even like the colour.

Re: Gold Plated Leatherback
All credit due, it is a beautiful car. But to own it would be kind of a liability. I mean you could not restore it, would you drive it? You could buy 5 different Model A' drivers for what that car has been advertised for. It is a Trailer Queen destined to being carted from show to show with "do not touch" signs all over it.. All a matter of personal preference and I'm sure lots of folks don't feel as I do, but I wouldn't be a customer if I hit the Powerball and had money to burn.

Re: Gold Plated Leatherback
I had breakfast in the diner owned by the owner of that car while visiting in NC this August. They had a couple of pictures of it behind the cash register. To each his own.
