Default Heck Of a Good Deal

I came across this yesterday. I contemplated buying it, then decided to pass it on to the Barners. Pretty sweet price considering the rebuilt engine alone is worth the price.

Yeah, somebody will get a hell of a deal, then cry foul because this or that didn't muster up to the description of what was rebuilt or replaced.

What you see is what you get, forget about the description, still a damn good deal!

If that add was legitimate , itwould be a great deal since the "heads are rebuilt with new valves, springs, and keepers". LOL

I noticed that too Marv but it seems this ad was written by a flathead novice for the owner ---"Have all parts that were removed (in boxes) and have owners parts inventory, plus a nice quantity of documentation."

I feel sorry for the owner who obviously was carrying out a full restoration in a very methodical way and probably having a great deal of enjoyment doing it and now, for what ever reason cannot complete it.

It appears like some one is tasked with the job of moving it on and has just listed as it has been documented by the owner.

Hope it goes to someone who will complete it and not part it out.

That could easily make a nice driver. Too bad I don't have the money right now.

Actually the quote is "HEADS OVERHAULDED NEW VALVE GUIDES, LOCKS, SPRINGS" which is even more funny.

The engine doesn't "LOOK" overhauled with the ratty Ford blue from the later era. I like the 1942 59A engine. Too bad it isn't a 29A from 42. Four door cars are usually restored by long term family owner cars and have more sentimental value than monitary value.

Got to be a mis print, and/or block cracked or something else major. Driveshaft replaced? What do they say, if too good to be true it probably is.
