Removing your hood will prevent most vapor lock.

Too seasonal ,expensive and not much "shelf life" I prefer an Idaho baker under the fuel pump glass bowl for vapor lock protection and supper.

Funny you should mention that, I have actually cooked meals on engines, in the Army, and on a 4 wheel drive trip across Baja...

hey Vic, ive gave up long ago trying to convince some people that vapor lock does occour, no matter how much documentation you have some will never believe, they are the ones who still believe the world is flat and Elvis is still alive

I love the picture. My wife came running into the office one day yelling. "Honey, come here, James Cagney is dancing on TV" . I told her that Cagney was a great dancer, and did a lot of musical/dance movies before he ever played a gangster. She was really taken aback.

So all & all VAPOR LOCK is like a Ice Cream Head Ache IT HURTS LIKE A S.O.B. when it happens but we always go back later for more Ice cream.
And with VAPOR LOCK IT HURTS LIKE A S.O.B. But we always go back and play with the flatheads some MORE (those 2 are for the ice cream)
