Default PPG paint code for interior window trim of '29 Tudor

I cannot locate the PPG paint code for the interior window trim on my '29 Tudor. The original paint appears to be a shade of medium dark brown, but it's not in good shape.

I did a search on the Barn and found one thread which said the Dupont code is 9238 or YS341. Also, "BS 358" whatever manufacturer BS is, I don't know. But, I would like to have the PPG code.

Or, as an alternative, is there a Rustoleum paint that would be close? I'm not showing the car and just want it to be sort of correct. I see Rustoleum has a "Red Rock" colored paint, but it is a flat and I would like gloss or satin.

Any help would be appreciated.

Paul, depending on the build date, the moulding colors would have been a gray (Moulding Gray) or Light Buff. Neither of these really fit your description of dark brown. You may just want to match to a factory-pack if you want the darker brown.

If I can obtain the PPG code for my interior trim I will use it. If not, I will do as you suggest and get something that looks like what's on the car now. I don't know why my interior trim looks to be a moderately dark brown, but I'm pretty sure it's original, as it was my wife's grandfather's car and parked in a barn in 1956, until I took it out. It is definitely not gray, it's brownish. Thank youIMG_7524[1].jpg for the suggestion.

To me that looks like the LIGHT BUFF in the Paint and Finish Guide.

Bob
Ditto on window trim for our 1929 Tudor. Bought our car from the original owner in 1968. It had 50,000 original miles on it back then.

I have a 29 Standard Briggs Three Window Fordor 165 B. I found a dark brown original paint on the back side of my glass moldings. It is called MOCHA BROWN, I have been told this information can be found on P-12-18 of the Restoration Guidelines and Judging Standards.
Having a driver I was satisfied with getting close to the Mocha Brown. I found that ACE Hardware Premium Gloss Enamel 17012 CHOCOLATE BROWN was about 1/2 shade off from my sample. After a good sanding and slight metal work I primed the trim with ACE Interior/Exterior RED OXIDE Primer, then a couple of coats of CHOCOLATE BROWN and finished it all with a couple of coats of ACE Interior/Exterior Gloss Enamel CLEAR. These were all 12 oz shaker cans. No I do not work for Ace.
I also found out the dash rail, header panel, windshield and windshield moldings are painted the upper body color. The gas tank, the lower body color, all window garnish moldings should be painted Mocha Brown. This was a no brainier for me as my Standard Fordor was Henry's favorite color BLACK.

Here is a link to the Auto Color Library page for the 1929 Ford, maybe it will help.

So, all of my interior trim on my 09/29 Tudor is currently body color (Andalusite Blue, and I didn't do the restoration). Which pieces should be different? The rear window frame and the lower piece on all four side windows? Can my window trim be either of these colors (gray or buff) or is there a specific trim color for my body color?

1928-mid 29 is Moulding Gray, mid-late 1929 is Light Buff

Here is a picture of the pieces off of my '29 Tudor which are not body color, buff in my Tudor's case. My color is not correct, but "close enough for government work", as they say.IMG_7546[1].jpg
