Default Parts From Mac's

I hear a lot of complaints about Mac's but I have to say they have always treated me fairly. I ordered a few small items late last Friday. The lady told they would ship the first of the week. After hanging the phone up I got a call from the same lady asking me if I was in no hurry for the parts she would ship them USPS instead of UPS to save me a few dollars, which I accepted and thanked her. The parts arrived today and get this: I ordered four parts for the `51 pickup and half were made in the U.S.! I was admiring the new gas pedal, it is heavy and seemingly good quality. It was made in Japan! I would rather see everything made in the U.S. but 50-50 is a start...

Mac's has really done a good job at keeping the costs low.. Which for many of us that is important. I have ordered two identical parts one from Mac's and one from _______. Both arrived and appeared identical, but the price differed quite a bit.

ST,
I'm in Macs back yard and know both the 'boys' and work with them on
occasion. Overall I've had good experiences at Macs.....it's not an easy business
to be sure...their facility is absolute world class.

I just got my small order of Model A roadster door parts, hinges, inside handle, bolts, screws, etc. I ordered during their June 15% off sale. Fast shipping, decent looking parts, no back orders- all done on line. I'm happy with Mac's.

Mac's is not bad at all. Ive had a few issues and they make good on them right away. Bet I spend at least $1500+ with them each year and Im 99% satisfied.

I bought some floor pans from Mac's that cost almost $1000.00. After more than 3 years, I called to ask if I could return and I was told yes. I got my money back with no fees. Their catalog states, "Parts may be returned with a valid reason within 30 days." The only reason I had was that I had a "stalled project". I call that bending over backwards to please.

Wow, that's way above and beyond! When you think about how an item could be beat up and abused laying around a shop, it's remarkable that they would consider that! Nice!

I think Mac's is a first class vendor. The thing we all have to remember is that companies are made up of people. People are not perfect. The Managers of that company strive for good performance. In many cases the only parts available for them to distribute are off-shore components.

In my dealings with Mac's I find they ship immediately and when they purchase items for their stock they send a check with their Purchase Order.

Amen.

Got lots & lots of MAC's parts on my Truck including the water pumps 7 years later & no problems no leaks, no overheat. I can not complain on anything I have received from Mac's or Dennis Carpenter's over the years. Lucky I guess or just easy to please lol.

I don't buy many re-pop parts, but I will be pretty soon so this is really good to know. Thanks for the heads up.

I've bought quite alot from Macs, the only problems I've had was shipping a while back and I think they were just back logged. But their customer service is great ,at least you feel they are trying to keep you business which is more than you can say for alot of places today.

I have purchased most of the parts for my 34 restoration from Mac's & found them very good , when I had to return something & it was their fault they even covered the shipping cost. I will continue to do business with them.
