Hi Ryan, I put a wanted ad on the site and got a response from Richard Merlini. He has a 32 headlight bar that I am ready to send paypal for but it just all seems a little weird. He wants me to use family and friends and put no notes as to what the money is paying for. Do you have a listing of users to show this guy is a good member? Richard Merlini ? or am I just going to hope for the best? Thank you for any input, Roger

If you did, don't use your email address in the ad, use the Fordbarn PM feature. What is his Fordbarn handle, does he have one? There is no one on the members list by that name. I do not have access to real names. Besides, ask for pictures too, don't just take their word that they have the part. Only pay by invoice thru Ebay, that way you are protected. Sending money F&F, you have no protection. As a seller I would rather pay the fee then screw up my Pay-Pal account. Con games have around as long as there have been people on this earth.

Or, like most scammers say, i'm deaf, so I don't have a phone.

Do you have pictures of the headlight bar? Tell him you (or a friend) would like to pick it up in person and ask where he lives.
