That car was on the dock in Miami being scrapped for shipment to Japan when we salvaged it for the track. We painted it green and put the number 13 on it and they wouldn't let us run it, so we changed it to 93.. It ran in the Jlopy class, had a stock 59A in it. Actually won one race got $12 for it.

Your car reminds me of one a friend of mine ran in the late 60s on the modified circuit. It had a SB garbage truck engine and no radiator up front, cooling water was pumped to the left rear to a rad. We called that thing the headless horseman, it was run by a champion race car driver by the name of Wayne Fielden from Knoxville, TN.

In reference to Walts comment about guys pulling old stock cars out of the woods and putting them back together to run on the dirt again made me think of an old forgotten about junk yard behind an old dirt track, behind a camper/RV store in Vermont, not to to far off I-91 on route 100 that I found about 15 years ago. Anybody from up that way remember this place? I think it was near Wardsboro? In fact I have a 33 5-window that was built for the Danbury track back in the 50's. Bob.
