Anti freeze will make an engine run hotter than plain water. Ethylene glycol will raise the boiling point but will also raise the operating temperature, especially when running above 50/50. It doesn't cool nearly as well as straight water.

Wild life outside our van this morning,love ly fine day here in Longreach,rest day today,
local copper paid us a visit,he was doing a drive by in the caravan park and saw the back of the 33 sticking out,nice guy,spent an hr talking to us,no tickets lol.

Tell us about 'roo' harvesting....Do they breed like rabbits?....
Yes Pete they do, but only when times are good roos can hold their breeding cycle. As Lawrie said best meat you can get, there's no fat in it, though I dont recommend eating a 'boomer' [ large male] Just about all of it goes to pet meat industry. The leather I heard is what they make the GP motorcycle suits out of , someone may confirm that ..

So you say water coolant is more forgiving on these old engines.
I run with Sierra Antifreeze-Coolant Propylene Glycol. is this the same as you were using? Should I switch to water in the summer months?
