Default Recovering dead battery

Watched a video on utube which appeared to be legit. The dead battery was emptied of acid , neutralized with baking soda, refilled with a mix of Alum and water and charged overnight and the voltage checked at 13 plus. Installed in a vehicle and started the engine. True or false?

I think you can also do this and refill the battery with Cokeacola

Batteries die when the lead plates become sulfated. If you could take one apart and clean the plates, you could revitalize it.

I guess the alum works to clean the plates somehow (probably by reverse electrolysis), but then I'd expect that you should flush the alum solution and refill with acid for it to work.

Why bother with a new battery for $75 that lasts 3 or 4 years?

Get one of these. It raised my battery from the dead, conditioned it and now maintains it. Since I have used this I have never had 6v charging problems.

here's a you tube link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Haezb0-zUQ

You don't need to empty the battery or anything. It's a US company too.
