I have been using Haulmark trailers for more than 20 years without any problems. I would suggest buying radial tires.They seem to tow easier,and run cooler. I have never had a trailer tire wear out ,but have had side wall blow out on 6 year old tires. I feel the tires supplied are inferior to the ones you buy at a tire store,there for I like to replace the originals at 5 years.

On the subject of tires, I always change to 10 ply radial trailer tires when I buy a new trailer.

When buying tires always buy tires rated for trailer use not you run of the mill vehicle tires. there is a big difference in tire design and construction.

A half-ton tow truck is fine for open trailers at 75% or less of the truck's rated capacity. This would include a typical 16 or 18' loaded car-hauler. A 24-foot enclosed trailer would warrant a bigger, heavier truck because of the potential for higher gross weight and cross-wind effects.
