Radio Restoration
I'm going to do a small restoration on my 1959 Edsel's radio in the future, replacing capacitors and such. But I do have one question for those of who might have done it already. The 59 Edsel radios have a clutch that drives the tuner when you're tuning in a station manually. A lot of ford radios used this clutch mechanism in the 58 and 59 years to my knowledge. Does anyone have any advice on what to replace the clutch rubber with? I tried to rejuvenate it with rubber renew, but I left it on too long and destroyed it. Any ideas on what to replace it with? Thanks guys.
