For some one with advanced knowledge. The brush that has the screw.
Is that the Adjustable brush? The Generator does not put out any current?
I am taking my readings from the front post ahead of the Cut out to the body of the Generator. I get no current flow. Should I try to move the brush with the screw shown here? If I still get no current flow. What is my best bet to rebuild the Powerhouse Generator? This is on a 1928 AR. I get 6.71 Volts at the screw at the back of the cutout, but this should be the battery voltage.

Is it possible that there is no current flow at all but by adjusting the brush there will be?

The screw is the adjustment,to increase the charging rate, shift the field brush in the direction of rotation, to reduce the rate shift the brush in the opposite direction. set at 14 amps for winter driving and for summer set at 10 amps. Loosen the screw to adjust.

In the middle picture, it looks like the ground brush spring is hitting the brush holder due to the brush being worn out. You can wedge a small piece of wood between the spring and brush to get a little more life from that brush.

If you put a piece of paper between the adjustable field brush and commutator, then connect a 6 volt battery charger to the field wire and the case, you should show 1 1/2 to 2 amps of current flowing through the field coils.
