Moving Day II
More progress, the paint work is nearly finished. Had to get it out of the body shop, so into temp storage for a week to ten days (I HOPE). At least the doors and deck lid are comfortable at home.

Re: Moving Day II
Man, I'd be making sure that you DON'T damage the paintwork. Are you sure that your dolly offers enough support there? I see 'only' TWELVE support points under that body. That IS going to be a NICE one, for sure! DD . |

Re: Moving Day II
Nice looking body but man it doesn't do much good for relations at home cluttering up the rooms with car parts (been there).

V8COOPMAN "Are you sure that your dolly offers enough support there? I see 'only' TWELVE support points under that body." Built the dolly in the late seventies when I disassembled the car for the second time. The removable supports allow access to the bottom of the body, They correspond to the body/frame mounting locations. Never expected it to be used this long. Tom .....Even though your dolly looks like it would be up to the task of supporting a '59 Caddy, I've just gotta comment on the thought AND the workmanship that it appears you put into it. DD |

Re: Moving Day II
Here's another picture of the dolly as of yesterday afternoon when we finally lifted the 3W body and mounted it on the chassis. Yup that's the body levitating in my garage. It's actually hanging from three eye hooks in the ceiling. It took two of us 4 and a half hours, 6 Beethoven CDs, no damage no interuptions, and nobody got hurt. Bonus day, today got to drive my sedan, first time in 8 years. forgot to take a picture.
