Default 1932 - 1934 gas pedal

I have a 32 pickup and a 34 car ,both with flathead V-8's.
I have both of these gas pedals and mounting covers. Are
Either of them correct for 32 or 34?

Thanks, Dave

I would say the black on is correct for the 32. The other may be for the 34.

The upper pedal and shaft is for your '34 and the lower one is for your '32. They both use the same cover on the firewall, namely the one in black in the lower photos. Neither use the light-colored cover in your photo.

An easy way to remember which is which is that the 32 pedal has the knob on it for the hand throttle linkage, all the other years the hand throttle goes out to the carb itself.

David, What is the app of the offset cover? I saw one like it on eBay and thought it must be a bad picture. Thanks

Andy,

That's a very good question, but one I've no good answer for. It has to be for some application where the shaft does not line up with the center of the rectangular hole in the firewall, unlike all '32 to '34 applications that I'm familiar with. The '33-'34 fours have a cover where the shaft protrudes through both sides of the cover, but this offset cover is a head scratcher, at least for me.

I thought the off set cover was for 4cylinder and the centered one was for v8. But maybe not.

Thanks everyone for your help. I removed the top one from my 32 pickup because it didn't have the ball for the hand throttle. It was installed with the offset cover decades ago when the original 4 cylinder was replaced with a V-8 60. I bought the truck from a friend that bought it to get the V-8 60. I installed a rebuilt 1936 221 I found and have been slowly correcting things on it.
