Oil Pan
I have a original 1929 oil pan. I don't need it and was wondering if there is a market for these? I hate to send to the scrapper
Thanks Mike |

Re: Oil Pan
at current scrap rate of 4 cents a pound i think you wont get much. I looked on ebay and found none so you should do well there.

Re: Oil Pan
I can usually find a buyer at about $5, but if I can't, there is almost always someone who will take it for free.

Here is a link to completed auctions, by my count 9 sold and 6 did not. Prices were all over as were the shipping costs

Re: Oil Pan
Even giving it away, shipping costs are high. I have been asked regularly to drag the item around town and get shipping quotes for freebees. I will no longer give things away. This spring I want to reduce my inventory of used parts. The scrap dealer really looks like my best option. I know most of the people on this site will be upset by this, but I am tired of the cheap people who want to pay nothing for parts and have them shipped free. I could point out examples, but that would not be nice.
