Default Custom etched wind wings

Looking for a company or individual that can/will custom etch me a pair of wind wings with my artwork (or conception). Any help would be sincerely appreciated. Thanks!

This question has appeared about 2 months ago, so there should be a lot to learn from by doing a SEARCH of past Forum posts.

You mention having a design concept in mind, have you tried contacting glass/mirror shops or maybe a glass artisan in your own area? I would start with Google.

I had a stencil made out of vinyl and sandblasted the pattern onto the wind wing.

I covered mine with HEAVY, white contact paper, carved the design, & sandblasted them with an OLD Spark Plug Cleaner.

Don't have the issue in front of me but Model A Times had an article abot a lady who did it. Contact John Lavoy, maybe he could lead you to her.

The arts and craft stores have a chemical etch compound that works good for open stencils, but only kind of works on fine line works

A spare bit of glass, masking tape, patience cutting the pattern and a blasting cabinet, the jury`s (her indoors) still out as to whether they stay or I come up with something more subtle.......................

Hobby Lobby craft stores have glass etching supplies using an acid cream and plastic stencils. The young gals are etching their wine glass for their weddings, etc...

If you have a recognition. Products company in your area and you have a vectored art files you can have them use a laser to engrave them. The advantage is it can be very detailed more so than if you use a mask and a blaster to do it also it is very reasonable to do. I have a partner company that does it for us on a multitude of substrates, if you need a source. If you need someone to do it I can do the leg work for you to help you.

Thanks everyone for the terrific suggestions, they all have been extremely helpful. I will make a vinyl template and give it try. I really can't draw a straight line anymore, but I'm betting there is a young aspiring artist here in this college town that can draw me up a nice long stem rose or two!
