Cleaned clock bezel.
I was looking for a 1947 Mercury clock because our chrome bezel had pits all over it. Today I took a small brass brush and metal polishing paste and managed to remove 90% of all the pits. They were small pits.
It polished up so nice, I no longer need to replace it. We tried it on the inner windshield chrome post that holds the rear view mirror, worked great, I don't need one of those now. Just thought I would share with you guys, might save you some time & bucks. Bob-Hampshire, Ill. |

Re: Cleaned clock bezel.
Thanks for the tip. What was the paste you used?

This stuff comes in a tube and works wonders on stainless, chrome. You use very little. Wipe in on , rub it in, polish with soft rag, diaper or towel. I bought it in a car catalog. I am sure you can find it at Amazon. com or just google the name. Made in Germany. Good luck, Bob-Hampshire, Ill. |
