Question 35-36 couple roof incert to fill roof.

Anybody know company that makes incert to fill roof on 35-36 3-window. there use to be one on west coast, couldn't find ad I had at one time. anybody know of any company that might make one? thanks jim

Yes, the company you are looking for is Walden Speed shop. They do great work.
I don't think they advertise it on their site currently, but call them up, they'll make you one.

If you can find a 1949-53 chevy pickup or truck cab that is junk, the panel below the back window will fit perfectly. The curve both ways is almost perfect. I made a pattern of the hole in the car roof out of cardboard and cut the steel out of the cab about a half inch to inch bigger and then trimmed to fit. Instead of welding it in, I drill 1/8 holes and used plastic push in T fasteners. A layer of felt and then black marine vinyl to finish. Cut your steel right and you can use the original rubber molding around the edge. Good luck. Rod

Check with Walden Speed Shop, they make a filler for it.

Thanks I like your idea,will check with buddy who's just did a 49 and see what has left. got price from Walden which I thought was a bit high but also $96.00 to ship. I'll make one- one way or another. thanks have a great day Jim

Lots of older articles (Rod Mags) on what donor cars have the best shape. The HAMB might be a good source for this question.

For my 33 I made one using the skin from a UK Ford Focus Hood. It came out really well. I'll put a link up to the build thread.
