Default Fordwood

Has anyone out there bought a wood kit from the Cubels. How good is the communications with them? I have not been able to get a proper response in over 2 months. What is going on with them?

I have heard about the not so prompt replies from Cubel's, but I think it is kind of sideline job for them - wood (not really sure). It seems they don't check their emails often. Did you try to call them?

I never did get a response from ford wood. I ended up trying the place in North Carolina and have stuck with them. Excellent fit and fast shipping. 336-691-1344.

I called them several times. I got someone to actually answer once only to be told in a hushed tone she was in class and would call back. I felt like Rodney Dangerfield in Back to School and wanted to ask her to call me sometime when she didn't have any class. I needed top bows for a Victoria and Steve at Berts took care of me. I got my return call from Fordwood two weeks later. Why would anyone expect to get good service or product from them? What starts wrong stays wrong.

I ordered rear door wood for my 1930. Good product, fits well. I believe it is a husband and wife operation, they don't answer the phone because they are out in the shop working. I have found it best to e-mail them, they sometimes answer on the weekends.

Too busy return a call for weeks? I just looked back thru unanswered emails to them. Imagine if the major parts houses operated that way. I can call Berts and get hard to find parts in a matter of days. Steve has never acted like he was too busy to take of me. I can call Brattons on Monday and get my order on Thursday. I once called Brattons with a stupid question and Walt called me back the same afternoon and patiently gave me the info I needed. The original post said he has not had a reply in over two months. That isn't busy, that is rude.
