Default epoxy weld rumble hinge

My 33/34 rumble hinge is repo and mounting tab need enlargement and re-drill. Beside welding (issues with iron weld being hard to do ) is there a build up epoxy (like JB weld) what could add to tab size and really stick to the cast iron???? Some suggested fiber glass but I think the strength is not there. Anyone tried to do epoxy?

Would love OEM but can not find a set... PM or email if you can help
Thanks

My opinion is not worth a lot perhaps, but I don't think any kind of plastic repair like epoxy or fiberglass would hold up to the operation of a hinge. I think you would end up redoing it sooner than you would like. Repo everything is crap. You have to buy it knowing you will probably have to modify it to work properly. A welding shop could probably do that for you if you don't think its within your expertise.

Ed I think you could brass it using bronze rod just pre heat it ,fill the hole then add some bronze on the end of the bracket to lengthen it then re drill the hole slightly over to line up . This way there is no join in it but the load will be on the casting still .I may have to do the same as I have a re poped bracket to .Ted

The holes in my 1930 Model A Roadster repop deck lid were not even close to what the original hinges called for. I managed to just barely start all the screws. I tightened them gradually and things seemed to work out OK. Not all screws were centered in their respective holes. I wasn't real happy, but the compromise suited the situation.

I agree with the bronze rod idea, also.

Steel originals show up with some regularity on eBay.
