Default Early Allen vacuum meter

Got this from my Dads garage years ago, any idea how to restore the yellowed plastic lens.

Go to a sign shop and get a very small and thin piece of Lexan they use for sign cover. You can cut the Lexan to the round shape and size.

Just clean it up with some chrome or plastic polish. I think the yellowed lens gives it character as long as you can still read the instrument.

In the past I've used toothpaste with good results.
A buddy gave me this stuff and it works better:

It may not help much, but I had an old compression gauge with a broken glass lens. I measured the diameter and thickness, and was able to find an exact replacement on the internet. The site I found had an incredible selection of lenses available.
