Default Engine I.D.

Looking at what I was told to be an early 1931 AA Truck, and I finally cleaned the engine number pad to see what she might be.
This is a Canadian Truck so as expected no Frame stamping can be found.
The engine may be earlier though I am very green at AA Numbers.
What I have looks like: *CAA95417*
The only nuber I am guessing is the 9, as it's not stamped very well it could easily be a "D"
Hoping some one has experience with these digits and can help me out.
Most of you will demand pix I know and I have them. Just missing the USB cord for my camera so I cannot down load them yet.
Cheers!

According to Vince's site http://www.fordgarage.com/pages/ABenginenumbers.htm
if it's a 9 then early 1929, if it's a D then mid 1931 to early 1932.
