Default horn rod, headlight switch and horn botton question

I just received a horn rod from one of the current suppliers. The switch and surround of the horn button is very thin chrome metal and not at all like original.

Can you install an original horn button and metal surround and switch on the aftermarket rod without unsoldering the wire and will it then work and look right?

Does anyone have a complete original horn rod and button with nickel plated surround and headlight switch for sale like described in the guidelines?

Please PM me as that would be my preferred option. I need the one that is 45 and 31/32nd inches long for mid/late 1930.

Thanks
